Dear Reader,

Thank you for being here. Whether you’ve already walked alongside Hanna or you’re just discovering her story, I’m truly grateful.

The Lies We Whisper is more than a book; it’s a reflection of survival, pain, and grace. Hanna’s journey meant a great deal to me. She had to find strength when the world seemed stacked against her, when everything she believed in fell apart. And haven’t we all been there?

Smiling when it hurts. Hiding the pain just to get through the day. Taking that shower not because we wanted to, but because we knew we needed to. Showing up in the world while we’re quietly unraveling inside. I’ve lived those moments. And maybe you have, too.

Through God’s grace, I’ve found my way back more times than I can count. I’ve fallen. I’ve questioned. I’ve felt the weight of heartbreak, of loss, of silence. But I’ve also learned that the fall is where we find our strength. That healing is slow, but it comes. That we are never as alone as we think we are.

I wrote this story for the survivors. For the ones who’ve loved deeply, lost painfully, and still keep going. For anyone who’s ever wondered if it will get better—it does. Just believe. We may not know when or how, but we’ll get to where we’re meant to be.

And just remember, you’re not alone.

With all my heart,
